Mission
1.Coral Bleaching Prediction Mission
〈Mission Selection Background〉
The occurrence of coral bleaching impacts ecosystems and deals a financial blow to both fishing and tourism.
〈Mission Details〉
Ocean imagery is used to detect red soil presence. Combined with ocean current data, we predict runoff and sedimentation locations to address factors obstructing coral reef recovery.
〈Camera Location〉
Sekisei Lagoon, Okinawa Prefecture,
2.APRS Mission
〈Mission Selection Background〉
Exposure to ham radio is becoming rare for today’s youth, leading to a steady decrease in the amateur radio community.
〈Mission Details〉
By providing an Omikuji (digital fortune) service via AYAME Unit 6, we aim to broaden the entry points for people to develop an interest in amateur radio.
3.LoRa store and Foward Mission
〈Mission Selection Background〉
In order to demonstrate communication using the store-and-forward method as a new communication technology of GARDENs.
〈Mission Details〉
We will conduct a store-and-forward demonstration using LoRa. The uplink from general amateur stations to the satellite is performed using LoRa, and the downlink from the satellite to the Chiba Tech ground station and general amateur stations is performed using GMSK. This information can be uplinked from general amateur stations.
4.Reducing the Cost of Satellite Radio Equipment Mission
〈Mission Selection Background〉
The cost of on-board radio equipment for communication between Earth and satellites accounts for a dominant share of the total development budget.
〈Mission Details〉
We will develop a custom radio based on the open-source designs of the radio flown on BIRDS-X, a satellite developed by the Kyushu Institute of Technology. By conducting a space demonstration of this radio, we aim to achieve cost reduction for space-capable communication equipment.
5.GPS Mission
〈Mission Selection Background〉
Since acquiring position data with a GPS-equipped CubeSat is difficult due to factors such as attitude control failure, it is necessary to improve system reliability.
〈Mission Details〉
By implementing magnetic attitude control, the orbit and timing information for the sixth satellite, AYAME, are acquired from signals received from GNSS satellites.
6.Firmware upload and update demonstration Mission
〈Mission Selection Background〉
To improve real-time adaptability in a CubeSat environment
〈Mission Details〉
This mission will demonstrate an on-orbit platform for firmware updates. MCU monitors system voltages and sent them to GS. Uplinking the new firmware from GS. MCU updates the firmware. MCU monitors not only system voltages but also system temperatures. Finally downlinking the voltage and temperature sensor data to GS.
